Mission

ENABLE FAMILIES ON THE PRECIPICE OF HOMELESSNESS, OR CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, TO SUSTAIN OR GAIN EMPLOYMENT, INDEPENDENT HOUSING AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • SHELTER PROGRAM: PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO FAMILIES WITH MINOR CHILDREN AND THEIR PETS WHEN EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. LODGING IS PROVIDED THROUGH COMMUNITY-BASESD HOSTING WITH AN INTERFAITH NETWORK OR ON-SITE AT FAMILY PROMISE. THERE ARE ROTATIONAL AND COMMUNAL HOUSING OPTIONS AVAILABLE, BOTH OF WHICH ARE 60 DAYS. STEPUP AND BRIDGE HOUSING OPTIONS ARE FOR A MAXIMUM OF 90 DAYS. PROGRAMMATICALLY, FAMILIES RECEIVE SHELTER, BASIC NEEDS, COACHING, EDUCATION, CASE MANAGEMENT AND CASH FLOW TRAINING AT ONE OF FIVE FAMILY PROMISE SITES. THE GOALS ARE TO REPLACE ANY MISSING VITAL DOCUMENTS, ENROLLMENT IN SOCIAL PROGRAMS FOR WHICH THEY ARE ENTITLED (I.E., DES FOR CHILDCARE, SNAP, MEDICAL INSURANCE, SOCIAL SECURITY, DISABILITY, TANF, UNEMPLOYMENT, CHILD SUPPORT), EMPLOYMENT, ENROLLMENT OF CHILDREN IN SCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL CHILDCARE, AND LONG-TERM HOUSING. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO QUICKLY STABILIZE THE ENTIRE FAMILY: BABIES/TODDLERS THROUGH CHILDCARE, CHILDREN THROUGH SCHOOL AND AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT, AND PARENTS THROUGH WORK AND SAVINGS. THIS EMPOWERS THEM TO SECURE SUSTAINABLE, LONG-TERM HOUSING. DURING 2025, WE PROVIDED SHELTER SERVICES TO 171 FAMILIES CONSISTING OF 227 ADULTS AND 347 CHILDREN. THAT TRANSLATED TO 26,192 SHELTER NIGHTS BY THE INTERFAITH CONGREGATION NETWORK AND FAMILY PROMISE STAFF. APPROXIMATELY 21,723 HOURS OF SERVICE WERE PROVIDED BY VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPLEMENT SERVICES PROVIDED BY PAID STAFF. THE SHELTER PROGRAM ALSO FEATURED ITS FIFTH FULL YEAR OF HOMELESS PREVENTION, DIVERSION, STABILIZATION, AND MOVE-IN SERVICES TO OUR ENROLLED FAMILIES. IT ONLY COST $351/CHILD TO ENSURE HOUSING AND FOOD STABILITY. GRADUATES: 102 FAMILIES REMAINED CONNECTED FOR 2 YEARS; 80% WERE STILL HOUSED WITHIN 2 YEARS; PREVENTION - 16 FAMILIES WITH 40 CHILDREN, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TOWARDS RENT AND/OR UTILITIES FOR GRADUATE FAMILIES THAT FACE A VERIFIABLE DISRUPTION TO THEIR INCOME DUE TO A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, LOSS OF DAYCARE, FAMILY BREAKUP, OR LOSS OF INCOME; DIVERSION - 365 FAMILIES AVOIDED HOMELESSESS THROUGH DIVERSION SERVICES, SECURING SAFE ALTERNATIVES TO ENTERING SHELTER WITHOUT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE; STABILIZATION - 33 FAMILIES WITH 89 CHILDREN, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR UNEXPECTED EXPENSES THAT WOULD POTENTIALLY DISRUPT A FAMILY'S HOUSING STABILITY; MOVE-IN ASSISTANCE - 27 FAMILIES WITH 57 CHILDREN, SECURITY DEPOSIT AND/OR FIRST MONTH'S RENT FOR FAMILIES MOVING FROM SHELTER PROGRAM TO PERMANENT HOUSING. FOOD INSECURITY WAS ADDRESSED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND FOOD BAGS/GIFT CARDS WERE AVAILABLE AS NEEDED.
    Expenses $1,568,895 · revenue $15,134
  • OUTREACH DEVELOPMENT: IN ORDER TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SHELTER TO HOMELESS FAMILIES, THE ORGANIZATION MUST ENSURE A SOLID AND DIVERSE AWARENESS AND FUNDING PIPELINE. REACHING OUT TO THE CONGREGATIONAL, BUSINESS, AND CIVIC COMMUNITIES ARE ROUTINE EFFORTS. CONGREGATIONAL VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE LODGING AND MEALS REMAIN THE CORE OF FAMILY PROMISE. THESE RELATIONSHIPS ARE THOUGHTFULLY CULTIVATED AND NURTURED TO SUSTAIN THEIR PARTICIPATION, ESPECIALLY IN A POST-PANDEMIC WORLD WHERE CHURCH ATTENDANCE HAS SLID. IN-KIND LODGING, MEALS AND VOLUNTEER EFFORTS SAVED FAMILY PROMISE OVER $590,000 IN 2025. THE OUTREACH STAFF CONTINUES TO EXPAND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS IN TRADITIONAL EMERGENCY SHELTER AND TO GENERATE OTHER WAYS TO CREATE MORE AFFORDABLE TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT HOUSING.
    Expenses $455,016
