THE PURPOSE OF THIS CORPORATION: A. TO ASSIST THE SHERIFF OF CASCADE COUNTY AS PROVIDED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MONTANA AND ONLY AT THE REQUEST OF THE SHERIFF OR HIS DULY APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVE. B. TO PROVIDE THE MEMBERSHIP WITH THE TRAINING NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT SAFE SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF PROFESSIONALISM AND ORGANIZATION. C. TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OVER AND DISCIPLINE OF MEMBERS CALLED TO OFFICIAL DUTIES. TO ACT IN A TACTFUL, ETHICAL MANNER SO AS TO GAIN AND MAINTAIN THE RESPECT OF THE COMMUNITY AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. D. TO DEDICATE ITSELF TO THE DIGNITY OF ALL INDIVIDUALS AND TO PROVIDE AID AND ASSISTANCE TO THEM IN A TIME OF DISTRESS E. MISSIONS INCLUDED: 1 - SEARCH AND RESCUE OF SNOWED IN AND STUCK MOTORIST NEAR MONUMENT PEAK 2 - ASSISTED FISH AND GAME WITH RESCUE OF LADY FROM ICED OVER RIVER NEAR RAINBOW DAM 3 - SEARCH AND RESCUE OF STRANDED MOTORIST IN INCLEMENT WEATHER NEAR LOGGING CREEK AND MONUMENT PEAK. ASSISTED IN RECOVERY OF UNRELATED STRANDED MOTORIST ENROUTE TO ORIGINAL CALL OUT 4 - ASSISTED FAMILY STRANDED IN BOAT ON A SANDBAR IN THE MISSOURI RIVER NEAR BIG BEND FISHING ACCESS 5 - SEARCHED AND RESCUED MAN FROM THE SUN RIVER 6 - ASSISTED CASCADE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IN MULTIPLE DAY SEARCH FOR AN ALLEGED MURDER VICTIM IN COUNTY LANDFILL 7 - SEARCHED FOR AND ASSISTED CITIZEN STRANDED ON RIVER NEAR ULM WHO'S BOAT HAD RAN OUT OF GAS COMMUNITY OUTREACH INCLUDED: 1 - TWICE A YEAR CLEAN UP OF TWO MILES OF HIGHWAY THROUGH MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ADOPT A HIGHWAY 2 - DEMONSTRATIONS AT LADY OF LOURDES SERVICE DAY 3 - PARTICIPATED IN CITY OF GREAT FALLS 4TH OF JULY PARADE 4 - STAND BY WITH SNOW EQUIPMENT AND FIRST AID SERVICE FOR WINTER TRAIL DAYS ON KINGS HILL 5 - POOL ASSISTANCE FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS POLAR PLUNGE 6 - PRESENTATION OF THE HUG-A-TREE AND SURVIVE PROGRAM. WE STARTED THE YEAR WITH 20 ACTIVE MEMBERS AND FINISHED WITH 16. CASCADE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTIES ACTING AS LIAISON TO THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE ACCOMPANY US ON MISSIONS.
