Mission

The purpose of the Santa Cruz County Horsemen's Association (SCCHA) is to promote interest in horses and horsemanship, and to bring people together to share this common interest. As a group, we aid and support activities concerning the welfare of horses, and acquire, build & maintain equestrian trails in our community.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • As an equestrian non-profit organization, we host camps, clinics, and events to members and non-members to support the overall purpose and mission of the organization. In addition to these services, membership in our organization allows use of our grounds and the adjacent state park, Henry Cowell State Park. We offer our grounds to displaced horses during natural disasters, and we often donate funds and labor to support our local parks for trail maintenance and repairs, as well as donate to other local equine non-profit organizations.
