Program accomplishments

  • Transitional Living Centers (TLC)Our Friends Place operates two Transitional Living Centers (TLC) Beazley House (est. 1992) and Pauline's Place (est. 2015) in Old East Dallas, providing safe, stable housing and comprehensive on-site support for single women ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness. Weekly life skills groups address workforce readiness, financial literacy, housing stability, resource navigation and goal setting. Residents also participate in off-site professional and social experiences to build social capital. In 2025, 35 women participated in the TLC program; residents lived in the program an average of 209 days, saved an average of $850 and earned an average of $15.15 per hour (Our Friends Place, 2025 Annual Report).SOAR to Success Non-Residential Prevention and Education ProgramSOAR to Success (Strengths, Opportunities, Allies and Resiliency) is a non-residential prevention and education program serving youth ages 12-24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, housing instability, abuse, neglect and poverty.
