Mission
As a part of UF Health, the organization's mission is to promote health through outstanding and high-quality patient care, innovative and rigorous education in the health professions and biomedical sciences, and high-impact research across the spectrum of basic, translational and clinical investigation.
Program accomplishments
- UF Health Jacksonville, part of UF Health, provides a broad range of services supporting patient care, education, and community health across northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Its primary facility, UF Health Jacksonville, is an academic medical center and the Jacksonville campus of the University of Florida Academic Health Center, offering advanced specialty care and serving as a major training site for medical students, residents, and other health professionals. Additional programs include UF Health North, a community-based campus with a full-service hospital, emergency care, outpatient surgery, and diagnostic services; a network of primary and specialty care practices staffed by UF faculty physicians; and key regional services such as TraumaOne, the area's only Level I trauma center, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute for advanced cancer treatment.
