THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF OPTHALMOLGY IS THE LEADER IN PROMOTING VISION HEALTH AS WELL AS DIRECT ACCESS TO QUALTIY, ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE TOTAL EYE CARE BY OPTHALMOLGISTS FOR THE CITIZENS OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

- GUARANTEEING THE RIGHTS OF THE PUBLIC OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE DIRECT ACCESS OF EYE, VISUAL HEALTH, AND OVERALL MEDICAL CARE OF AN OPTHALMOLOGIST LICENSED IN SOUTH CAROLINA. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, STAUNCH LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY, AND EXTENSIVE MEMBERSHIP SERVICES.
