Program accomplishments

  • Through innovative approaches, we amplified Black voices, fostering greater awareness and understanding of our experiences. As the leader in the production, synthesis and socialization of actionable data and insights for all Arizonans with a primary focus on the Black community, we supported our mission by accelerating the development of the Arizona Black Business Database, providing visibility and access for Black entrepreneurs across the state. We launched our maternal health campaign with a goal to enhance awareness and knowledge of Black Maternal and Infant Health in Arizona while continuing our work in 2024 with a White Paper series with videos starting in April. Our African American Leadership Institute in Phoenix and Southern Arizona completed its 12th and 3rd cohort. As we look forward to 2024, the word that encapsulates our vision is "Expansion." Here are some thoughts on our strategic focus for the coming year:Placing a strategic emphasis on building more partnerships in Southern Arizona, with expanded activities around current reports and initiatives.A focused strategy for engaging AALI alumni and creating partnerships that offer continued leadership opportunities.Building the organization's capacity with the addition of talented team members to enhance our collective impact.Accelerating the development of localized data collection to deepen our understanding of the communities we serve.Forecasting the Southwestern regional expansion of The State of Black Arizona organizational model to broaden our influence and impact
