Mission

Restore Dignity hosts the Grief to Grace retreat, a week-long residential program designed for adult survivors of childhood trauma, including neglect, physical, spiritual, and/or sexual abuse. The retreat provides a safe and supportive environment where participants engage in guided healing sessions, reflection, and community support aimed at fostering emotional and spiritual restoration, personal growth, and renewed hope.

Program accomplishments

  • Healing Retreats (Primary Program Service) Restore Dignitys primary program service is the provision of healing retreats for individuals who have experienced abuse or neglect. During the reporting year, the organization conducted six retreats, including two in Spanish and four in English, with programming that included service to Native American participants. These retreats provide a safe and supportive environment focused on emotional and spiritual healing, restoration of dignity, and rebuilding hope through facilitated sessions, group support, and guided activities. On average, 90100 participants are served annually through this program. The majority of the organizations resources and efforts are dedicated to this primary program service.
    Expenses $146,155 · grants $35,000 · revenue $110,120
  • Post-Retreat Support Groups Restore Dignity provides monthly support groups as a follow-up service for individuals who have previously participated in the organizations retreats. These support groups are held once per month in Tempe and Sedona and serve an average of 20 participants per group. The support groups reinforce healing tools introduced during the retreats, provide ongoing emotional support, and encourage accountability and community connection. This program helps ensure long-term healing and sustained impact beyond the retreat experience.0
  • Team Training During the reporting year, Restore Dignity implemented a team training to enhance the quality of services provided to program participants. Training was conducted by Theresa Burke, creator of the Grief to Grace program. This training equipped volunteer team members with trauma-informed resources, best practices, and practical tools to better support individuals served through Restore Dignitys retreats and support groups. This program strengthened the organizations ability to deliver effective and compassionate services consistent with its charitable mission.
    Expenses $8,068
