Program accomplishments

  • Transitional Living Program:The Transitional Living Program provides safe, stable housing and individualized support to youth and young adults ages 16-22 who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or other barriers to independent living. The program serves as The Core Collective's residential living community, where housing provides the foundation from which young people can prepare for adulthood.Participants receive case management, life skills education, behavioral health support, workforce preparation, financial capability education, educational assistance, and transition planning. Through structured daily living experiences and relationships with supportive adults, participants learn to manage a household, make decisions, strengthen healthy relationships, pursue education and employment goals, and prepare for permanent housing and long-term self-sufficiency.
    Expenses $2,798,823 · revenue $1,414,903
  • Community-Based Services:Community-Based Services extends The Core Collective's youth development work into the Normandy Schools Collaborative by providing school-based behavioral health services and coordinated support to students and their families. Services include individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and individualized assistance designed to address barriers affecting students' emotional well-being, school engagement, and healthy development. By delivering services within the school environment, the program makes support accessible to young people where they learn and spend much of their day. In partnership with students, families, educators and community organizations, Community Based Services strengthens resilience, promotes healthy relationships, improves student stability, and connects youth and families to additional resources and opportunities when needed.
  • The HUB After-School Program:The HUB is The Core Collective's after-school youth engagement center, operating Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The program provides a safe, structured, and welcoming environment during the critical after-school hours where young people can build positive relationships, explore their interests, and participate in experiences that support their development.Through Youth Safety and Community Connection Zones, participants engage in academic support, life skills education, mentoring, leadership development, recreation, workforce preparation, community service, and positive peer activities. Experiential opportunities, including the CORE Caf Workforce Development Academy, allow youth to develop workplace skills, practice responsibility, explore career interests, and gain greater confidence. The HUB connects young people with caring adults and meaningful opportunities that support educational success, personal growth, community belonging, and preparation for adulthood.
  • Street OutreachStreet Outreach engages youth and young adults experiencing homelessness, housing instability, family conflict, system involvement, or other barriers to safety and stability. Outreach staff meet young people where they live, learn, and gather; build trusting relationships; respond to immediate needs; and help them navigate available services and resources. The program serves as a community-based point of contact to housing assistance, behavioral health services, education, employment and workforce development, basic-needs support, and other community resources. Through early intervention, relationship-based engagement, and coordinated referrals, Street Outreach reduces barriers to services and helps young people move toward greater safety, stability, opportunity, and successful adulthood.
