Program accomplishments

  • MIGRATION SERVICES Resettlement and Placement - Provides services for newly arrived refugees up to 90 days after arrival. This program assists people coming to the United States under refugee status as granted by the U.S. Department of State, as well as assists individuals who seek asylum once they are already in this country. Catholic Charities works in cooperation with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to provide these services, which help new residents adjust to life in the community. Services include pre-arrival processing, arrival services, assistance with housing, referrals for medical care, acculturation, referrals for ESL (English-as-a-second-language) classes, school enrollment for the children, and other educational services as needed. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)

  • STABILITY SERVICES Resource & Referral - Services are provided to individuals and families who need help meeting basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, and utilities. Applicants qualified for the program will complete a brief assessment with a case manager in-person or virtually. Referrals are made to other agencies when appropriate. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)
    Expenses $2,320,077 · grants $576,463
  • COUNSELING SERVICES Clinical Services: Licensed counselors provide in-person and telehealth sessions in both English and Spanish. We serve individuals, couples, and families, offering faith-informed therapy that addresses grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. School Counseling: Recognizing that many children return home to families under chronic stress, we bring counseling directly into schools. This removes barriers of transportation and cost while addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students who would otherwise go untreated. Diocesan Mental Health Ministries: Rooted in parish life, this ministry supports individuals living with mental illness and their loved ones through education, spiritual accompaniment, resources, and advocacy. Catholic Charities helps parishes create safe, welcoming spaces that reduce stigma and ensure no one suffers in silence. Victims Of Human Trafficking:Programming that helps freed victims deal with the trauma of their captivity and adjustment back into the community.
