Program accomplishments
- HEALTHY KIDS HAPPY PLANET IS A PUBLIC BENEFIT CHARITY DEDICATED TO EDUCATING YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT NUTRITION, EMPOWERING THEM TO KNOW THEIR FOOD CHOICES CAN CREATE MORE EQUITABLE FOOD SYSTEMS, AND HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. HEALTHY KIDS HAPPY PLANET DELIVERS CLASSROOM AND CAFETERIA-BASED NUTRITION PROGRAMS FOR GRADES K12 EACH YEAR, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EDUCATORS AND SCHOOL FOOD PROFESSIONALS, REACHING THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS ANNUALLY. WE ALSO SUPPORT K-8 EDUCATORS WITH MINI-GRANTS, WHICH FUND A SERIES OF CULINARY PROJECTS FOR STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM, HELPING TO MAINSTREAM FOOD-BASED LEARNING IN SCHOOLS. COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING IS ALSO ESSENTIAL TO OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS, ENGAGING HUNDREDS OF FAMILIES AT EARTH DAY FESTIVALS, SCHOOL HEALTH FAIRS, AND MANY OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS.Expenses $129,490 · revenue $6,173
