ADVANCING THE VARIOUS ROLES OF GENETIC COUNSELORS IN HEALTH CARE BY FOSTERING EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND PUBLIC POLICY TO ENSURE THE AVAILABILITY OF QUALITY GENETIC COUNSELING SERVICES IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.
Program accomplishments
- TSGC, AS A STATE CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF GENETIC COUNSELORS, SERVES AS AN ORGANIZATION FOR GENETIC COUNSELORS WITHIN THE STATE OF TEXAS TO COME TOGETHER AROUND ADVOCACY AND EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS. TSGC SUPPORTS ADVOCACY OF THE PROFESSION WITHIN TEXAS THROUGH AWARENESS AND PROMOTION OF A LICENSURE STRUCTURE TO BE ADOPTED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS, AND SUPPORTS THE EDUCATION OF ITS MEMBERS BY HOLDING AN ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE.
