Mission
The UNWLA's mission is to promote and develop educational and cultural efforts, and provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians worldwide, guided by principles of Christian ethics, religious tolerance, political non-partisanship, and universal respect for human rights. The New Jersey Regional Council provides leadership and guidance for 7 local New Jersey UNWLA branches which total 246 members.
Program accomplishments
- The Ukrainian National Women's League of USA (UNWLA) New Jersey Regional Council organized, managed, and ran the 2024 UNWLA Triennial Convention which brought together delegates from all 66 nationwide branches, regional councils, representatives of other Ukrainian non-profits and organizations, representatives of local government and guests from Ukraine. Over 400 attendees discussed strategic planning for the UNWLA, fundraising initiatives, advocacy for Ukraine and how to further assist with humanitarian aid efforts for victims of the full scale invasion of Ukraine. Revenue included convention registration fees, sponsorships, and donations.
