Questions about a charge or a refund

If something about a payment looks wrong, or you want to ask for a refund, email [email protected] with:
- the organization’s name and EIN,
- the form and tax year,
- the date and amount of the charge,
- what happened.
A person reads and answers every message.
Before you write
- Rejected by the IRS? You do not need to pay again: fixing and refiling a rejected return is free; see Rejected: fix and refile.
- Charged twice? A return can only be paid once in 990.tax. Check the receipts on each return in your account; two charges are usually two returns (for example a 990-EZ and an 8868). If not, email us.
- Not filed yet? You are only charged when you complete payment. A draft or a signed return that was never paid has cost nothing.
