Mission

The mission of Inner Doors is to nurture connection and integration of body, mind, and spirit, and, and build strong, loving communities of learning and practice for those devoted to tending their own creative fire, and tending the soul of the world. To fulfill that mission, Inner Doors provides transformational educational programming at the intersection of somatics, depth psychology, creative expression, and the sacred arts. Its programs include multi-media talks, courses, experiential workshops, and retreat gatherings that draw on a wide variety of ancient and emergent teachings and practices, linked by their ability to foster the development of embodied consciousness, and support individuals in tapping the innate intelligence of the body-psyche-spirit connection.

Program accomplishments

  • Inner Doors was founded formally September 2, 2024. In its first 10 months and initial tax year, Inner Doors assembled and grew its founding board of directors to 5 members, recruited a volunteer program director and 2 program assistants, and have been slowly setting up our leadership structures and financial systems for receiving donations and supporting expenses.
  • Inner Doors was still able to offer no-cost, no-expenditure programming to pilot initial program offerings. We held 7 in-person experiential workshop programs, ranging from 3-8 hours long, that fostered the learning and practice of somatic meditation methods, serving 56 participants.
  • Directors and volunteers created curriculum and plans to launch live 3 online and in-person courses in 2026 - a course in Somatic Psychopoetics, a course in Embodied Dreamwork, and a course in Embodied Alchemy.
