Mission

Our mission is to enhance and protect Campbell Lake's ecosystem health and natural beauty through the facilitation of treatment, management, and educational strategies to promote safe and enjoyable recreational use for all. We raise funds for treatment of Lake Campbell, as well as conducting regular water samplings to ensure public safety and monitoring the ecosystem. We also regularly educate ourselves and the community on ways to be good stewards of the lake.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • The majority of funds went to a partial alum treatment of the lake conducted by a Lake Management Company, Aquatechnex, certified through the county to treat for toxic algal blooms. This treatment will help reduce harmful cyanobacteria blooms and improve water quality. As this is a public lake it benefitted the entire community as well as visitors from around the state. It also improves the entire ecosystem for the fish and other wildlife.
    Expenses $63,106
  • Our next biggest expense was spent on lab testing for water quality. To keep expenses down, volunteers from the board conducted state mandated water samples to measure the water quality after the alum treatment. Testing included pH, DOC, alkalinity, Al, hardness, sulfate, dissolved O2, conductivity, and temperature.
    Expenses $1,150
  • The third biggest expense was a pH meter required for mandatory water quality checks before, during, and after treatment of the lake.
    Expenses $345
