Mission
The mission of Crime Stoppers Honolulu, Inc. is to make the City and County of Honolulu a safer place by encouraging anonymous information reporting from the community, to assist law enforcement in solving crimes.
Program accomplishments
- We issued 500 news releases resulting in 3,285 anonymous reports from the community. From these community reports we issued 2,979 tip reports to law enforcement, resulting in 6 arrests and 656 cases closed or solved. The Board of Directors authorized 4 payments totaling $850.(Note: Many reporters declined payment, saying they only wanted to do the right thing.)Expenses $48,952
