We kicked off the year welcoming our newest additions to the school at our TK/Kinder jumpstart, making it an easier transition for our new students. We offered our upper grade students an opportunity to come and grab a popsicle while they found out what teachers they would have.Once the school year started we had one ofour biggest events of the school year at Camp LAE. Camp LAE is a community building event where families spend the night at the school, camping in tents. There was lots of fun activities that included arts and crafts, a family hand ball tournament, dance party, Photo Booth, and glow in the dark mini golf. We celebrated Red Ribbon Week with a visit from our local fire department who brought tehir fire truck to the playground and we handed out fun goodies to our students. We also had our free annual Trunk or Treat and costume contest where all our students are able to come trunk or treat in a safe environment on our campus. This year we added fun activities like a dance party, crafting area and a sensory area to take a break if needed. Our movie night was a success with a wonderful turnout. This is another free event we offer to LAE families and pass out free popcorn. Our holiday shop gave students an opportunity to come and shop for Christmas presents for their friends and families independently. This year we added calculators, giving students that extra opportunity to be independent. We added a new Black History sectiion of books to our school library and hosted fun activities at recess and lucnh for kids to have fun and learn about Black History and earn some fun prizes too. We hosted an Imagination Machine assembly where students wrote original short stories for a chance to be chosen to have them acted out onstage. The students love seeing their stories come to life. Our book fair was a success. We sold lots of books and redeemed them for scholastic dollars which will go towards more books in our library and classrooms. We nded the year with our annual carnival, another community building event at the end of the school year with close to 30 0families in attendance to participate in games, activities, arts and crafts, prizes and music. This year, we made all of our events more inclusive by adding a sensory room. It is a quiet room with calming lights, tents, sensory toys and pillows.Expenses $26,381
