EVERY DAY, OUR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDE ESSENTIAL CARE, STABILITY, AND HOPE TO CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES THROUGHOUT CALIFORNIA.POLICY IS AT THE CORE OF WHAT WE DO BECAUSE LASTING CHANGE FOR YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPENDS ON STRONG, EQUITABLE, AND RESPONSIVE PUBLIC SYSTEMS. THROUGH OUR ADVOCACY, WE WORK TO REMOVE BARRIERS, ADVANCE SOLUTIONS, AND SECURE THE RESOURCES OUR MEMBERS NEED TO CONTINUE THEIR WORK. THIS YEAR DEMONSTRATED THE POWER OF THAT COMMITMENT. DESPITE A DIFFICULT BUDGET ENVIRONMENT, THE CA ALLIANCE, ALONGSIDE MANY PARTNERS, SECURED $31.5 MILLION IN BRIDGE FUNDING TO SUPPORT FOSTER FAMILY AGENCIES THROUGH AN UNPRECEDENTED INSURANCE CRISIS. WITH COVERAGE BECOMING UNAFFORDABLE OR UNAVAILABLE FOR NEARLY 90 PERCENT OF FFAS, THOUSANDS OF FOSTER YOUTH RISKED LOSING THEIR HOMES AND CONNECTIONS. SECURING THIS FUNDING WAS ESSENTIAL, REFLECTING THE STRENGTH OF OUR ADVOCACY AND THE URGENCY OF PROTECTING FAMILY-BASED CARE. THIS INVESTMENT KEEPS AGENCIES OPERATING, PRESERVES PLACEMENT CAPACITY, AND PROVIDES TIME TO DEVELOP DURABLE LONG-TERM SOLUTIONS.2025 POLICYTRANSITIONAL HOUSING ACCESS FOR SYSTEM-INVOLVED YOUTH - AB 1314 (AHRENS)THE CA ALLIANCE SPONSORED AB 1314 TO EXPAND ACCESS TO TRANSITIONAL HOUSING BY REMOVING RESTRICTIVE COUNTY-LEVEL REQUIREMENTS.
