- Although public performances are an important and necessary element of DGC, they are not the primary goal of Danville Girls Chorus. The Preparatory and Intermediate Choirs' chief goals are for singers to learn the basics of singing and musical concepts and to become comfortable with both. All singers participate in three major programs each year: Winter Concert, Spring Concert, and the Pops Concert. Additionally, girls in the Concert and Honor Choirs also perform in concerts with other performing ensembles, at festivals and for a variety of community and civic organizations. The DGC season runs September through the beginning of June. Girls in Concert Choir must also attend a one-week music camp in August. Each season has two semesters:Expenses $212,757 · revenue $210,616
