  • OCPSC: As a Trusted Messenger for the State of California, BEC conducted targeted outreach for statewide campaigns, reaching over 3,744 community members across Glenn, Butte, and Tehama Counties. BEC successfully completed this grant in June 2025.

  • ReLeaf Treecovery: With support from the Treecovery program, BEC successfully planted 180 15-gallon shade trees across more than 15 parks, schools, and shared community spaces. Over 500 community volunteers and schoolchildren participated in educational sessions and hands-on tree planting events. Trees were thoughtfully placed in three counties, focusing on areas within disadvantaged and low-income communities identified as lacking shade. This program has planted a total of 273 shade trees with the final goal of 330 shade trees by the end of 2026.
