Mission
FUEL OKC'S MISSION IS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF QUALITY SCHOOLS SERVING RESIDENTS OF OKLAHOMA CITY.
Program accomplishments
- QUALITY SCHOOLS: FUEL OKC INVESTED IN THE 4 CHARTER SCHOOL NETWORKS TO EXPAND THE NUMBER OF SCHOOLS AND STUDENTS SERVED IN THEIR ACADEMIC MODELS. FUEL ALSO PROVIDED START-UP FUNDING FOR A NEW SCHOOL IN NE OKC, A QUADRANT OF THE CITY CURRENTLY LACKING ANY QUALITY PUBLIC SCHOOL OPTIONS.Expenses $2,534,421 · grants $2,230,000 · revenue $9,807
- TALENT: FUEL OKC CONTRACTED WITH A COMPANY TO LEAD A SCHOOL LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR OVER 40 ASPIRING PRINCIPALS IN OKLAHOMA CITY. ADDITIONALLY, FUEL INVESTED IN A PARAPROFESSIONAL TEACHER PIPELINE TO PREPARE CURRENT PARAPROFESSIONALS TO BECOME FULL-TIME TEACHERS WITH THE GOAL OF DEVELOPING A TEACHER TALENT PIPELINE BY RECRUITING AND TRAINING ADDITIONAL PARAPROFESSIONALS.Expenses $338,453
- PARENT ENGAGEMENT: ENROLL OKC LAUNCHED IN FALL 2024 AND PROVIDED TWO SERVICES FOR FAMILIES. FIRST, IT PROVIDED A SINGLE PORTAL WHERE FAMILIES COULD LEARN ABOUT ALL PUBLIC SCHOOL OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO THEM IN OKC. PRIOR TO THE LAUNCH OF ENROLL OKC, FAMILIES HAD TO LEARN ABOUT THIS THROUGH THEIR OWN MEANS. ADDITIONALLY, ENROLL OKC WORKED WITH CHARTER AND DISTRICT ENTERPRISE SCHOOLS TO SHARE A COMMON APPLICATION DATE AND PROCESS TIMELINE. PRIOR TO ENROLL OKC, EVERY SCHOOL HAD THEIR OWN PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE AND PROCESS AND THIS MADE MAKING AN INFORMED CHOICE VERY DIFFICULT FOR FAMILIES AS THE TIMELINES VARIED SIGNIFICANTLY.Expenses $47,918
