Mission
Our mission is to educate our community and raise funds to support research and programs to prevent recognize and treat young onset colorectal cancer.
Program accomplishments
- Education and Awareness efforts included the Face Off Launch Party presentation at Light the Tower Blue at OSU East and a social media challenge #becauseofhenry all held in March 2024 for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. We volunteered and had a table at the Cancer Coalitions Get your Rear in Gear 5K event and participated as an exhibitor at the OAAPN Statewide Conference.Expenses $4,551
- Support of Research included funds donated to the recently established Ohio State University Early Onset Colorectal Cancer Center and the research efforts of Dr. Matthew Kalady. In addition we launched the formation of our Beneficence Program and Grant Application process.grants $70,000
- Prevention efforts include working with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to provide no cost colonoscopies to qualified individuals under the age of 45 without insurance or the ability to pay or the screening. An $8,000 donation provides for 10 colonoscopies. No donation occurred this fiscal year but we intend to provide donations in the near future as needed.
- Support and educate families who has a loved one withearly onset colorectal cancer. Mainly learning healthy eating and life style.grants $10,000
