Mission
Oregon Queer History Collective collects preserves and shares materials related to Oregon LGBTQIA2S+ history and culture.
Program accomplishments
- Website & communications: We host a website GLAPN.org which has logged approximately 500,000 views in 2025. While overall cost is minimal volunteers contribute hours in collecting curating and uploading information. We also host videos to make past events accessible and archivable. Our instagram following has also increased influencing additional attendees at our regular meetings.
- Public History and Pride Displays: Each year we attend Portland Pride with display materials that are then lent out to local organizations to share LGBTQIA2S+ history. Additionally we host exhibits and panels to communicate history and stories.
- Archives Stewardship: We support community members archiving their materials and expanding our collections. We host archival workshops and collect materials from the past and current times to add to our collection to document history.
