Mission
THE MISSION OF SEXUAL ASSAULT FAMILY VIOLENCE TASK FORCE INC. IS TO PROVIDE PUBLIC EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, SHELTER AND CRISIS INTERVENTION FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS AND TO ESTABLISH A NETWORK OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST PEOPLE IN CRISIS.
Program accomplishments
- ADVOCACY - PROVIDE HOSPITAL RESPONSE AND OTHER MEDICAL ADVOCACY, TRANSPORTATION,DAYCARE, CLOTHING, FOOD, GROUP COUNSELING. LANGUAGE SERVICES, PERSONAL ADVOCACY, COURT ADVOCACY, REFERRALS TO OTHER SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS, AND COLLABORATION WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ENTITIES THAT CAN OFFER HELP TO THESE VICTIMS.Expenses $109,620
- CRISIS INTERVENTION - PROVIDE 24 HOUR AND SEVEN DAYS A WEEK SAFE SHELTER AND CRISIS LINE TO ALL VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, STALKING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT. THIS PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES CLOTHING, FOOD, AND SHELTER TO THESE VICTIMS, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT TO ANY COURT CASES, AND IN SOME CASES APPLYING FOR HELP FROM AN ATTORNEY.Expenses $69,642
