Program accomplishments

  • PROMOTE THE PRODUCTION OF SEEDS. ANALYZE COSTS AND CHARGES FOR PRODUCTION. ASSEMBLE AND DISSEMINATE DATA ON FARMS SEEDS AND OTHER AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS. THE OREGON SEED GROWERS LEAGUE MEETS ANNUALLY IN DECEMBER TO DISCUSS MATTERS OF TECHNICAL IMPORTANCE TO THE INDUSTRY. THE TWO DAY EVENT IS NORMALLY ATTENDED BY 300-400 GROWERS AND INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES. IN ADDITION, A TRADE SHOW RUNS CONCURRENTLY WITH THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. THIRTY FIVE TO FORTY EXHIBITORS ARE EXPECTED EACH YEAR.
  • SMALL SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED TO A FEW STUDENTS WHO HAVE AGRICULTURAL STUDIES IN THE STUDY OF GROWING SEEDS AND RELATED CROPS. NO SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED IN 2024 AS THE ORGANIZATION REORGANIZED THE PROCESS OF GETTING APPLICATIONS AND PROVIDING APPROVEALS. 2024 EXPENSES ARE ADMINISTRATIVE ONES.
