CREATEACCESS PROVIDES EXPOSURE TO EDUCATION AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES WITH A FOCUS ON SUPPORTING THOSE EXPERIENCING SOCIOECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY GAPS.CREATEACCESS AIMS TO BROADEN ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITIES IN 3D TECHNOLOGY BY PROVIDING ONRAMPS TO 3D CREATION THROUGH EXPOSURE EDUCATION.
Program accomplishments
- CREATEACCESS BROADENS ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITIES IN 3D TECHNOLOGY BY PROVIDING 3D CREATION EXPOSURE EDUCATION IN FOUR PRIMARY WAYS:1. FACILITATING IN-PERSON 3D CREATOR PROGRAMS AND OUTREACH EVENTS IN CREATEACCESS' LOCAL COMMUNITY, WITH A FOCUS ON ENGAGING MEMBERS OF UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES AND/OR THOSE WHO HAVE LIMITED PREVIOUS EXPOSURE TO 3D TECHNOLOGY. 2. DEVELOPING AND SHARING FREELY-AVAILABLE, BEGINNER-FOCUSED 3D CREATION EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS. 3. SUPPORTING A ROBUST INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AND EMERGING PROFESSIONALS.4. INCREASING AWARENESS OF OPPORTUNITIES IN 3D TECHNOLOGY IN THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. THE 2025 OUTCOMES OF THESE ACTIVITIES WERE AS FOLLOWS:1. CREATEACCESS FACILITATED MORE THAN 100 HOURS OF IN-PERSON 3D EDUCATION PROGRAMMING AND REACHED MORE THAN 300 BEGINNER 3D CREATORS WHO ENGAGED DIRECTLY WITH 3D TECHNOLOGY THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS. MORE THAN 100 OF THESE CREATORS PARTICIPATED IN AT LEAST 5 HOURS OF 3D EDUCATION, AND APPROXIMATELY 40 PARTICIPATED IN A 30-HOUR PROGRAM WITH CREATEACCESS. CREATEACCESS BRINGS 3D TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION TO SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES, AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS THAT WERE PROVIDING LITTLE OR NO 3D EDUCATION PREVIOUSLY, AND MEETS LEARNERS WHERE THEY ARE AT ORGANIZATIONS THEY ARE CONNECTED TO AND TRUST. IN 2025, CREATEACCESS COLLABORATED WITH 10 SUCH ORGANIZATIONS TO BRING PROGRAMS TO THEIR LEARNERS. ACROSS PROGRAMS, 14 DIFFERENT FREE OR FREE-TO-START SOFTWARE PROGRAMS WERE INTRODUCED. 2. CREATEACCESS CONTINUED TO DEVELOP AND SHARE FREELY AVAILABLE, BEGINNER-FOCUSED WRITTEN AND VIDEO MATERIALS TO HELP BEGINNERS GET STARTED WITH 3D TECHNOLOGY. THESE MATERIALS ARE SHARED DURING PROGRAMS AND PUBLISHED ON CREATEACCESS' WEBSITE AND/OR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, AS APPROPRIATE. 3. CREATEACCESS CONTINUED ITS PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM, AND EMPLOYED 10 STUDENT AND EARLY CAREER PROFESSIONAL INTERNS IN 2025, ONE OF WHOM WAS ULTIMATELY HIRED AS A FULL-TIME PROGRAM MANAGER. TWO OF THE INTERNS WERE HIRED DIRECTLY FROM CREATEACCESS' CREATOR COMMUNITY THROUGH DEDICATED INTERNSHIP SLOTS FOR PARTICIPANTS IN A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR WHICH CREATEACCESS PROVIDES 3D TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION. CREATEACCESS ALSO PILOTED ITS FIRST 3D FACILITATOR TRAINING, WHICH EQUIPPED PROMISING AND ENGAGED PARTICIPANTS FROM CREATEACCESS' PROGRAMS AT A LOCAL LIBRARY TO FACILITATE 3D EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR THEIR PEERS, WITH PROGRAM DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT FROM CREATEACCESS.4. CREATEACCESS CONTINUED TO SUPPORT INCREASED AWARENESS OF OPPORTUNITIES IN 3D TECHNOLOGY AND THE WORK OF CREATEACCESS IN THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. THIS INCLUDED COORDINATION OF TOURS/VISITS WITH A LOCAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY FOR TWO STUDENT GROUPS, GUEST SPEAKING AT MULTIPLE UNIVERSITIES, HOSTING A COMMUNITY TABLE AT A TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE, AND PARTICIPATING IN A LOCAL NONPROFIT COLLABORATIVE THAT CONVENES NONPROFITS IN ONE COMMUNITY ACROSS DIFFERENT SERVICE AREAS.Expenses $132,368 · revenue $7,000
