TO SUPPORT AND GROW THE CRAFT AND COMMUNITY OF FURNITURE MAKING AND WOODWORKING.
Program accomplishments
- WOODWORKING CLASSES: THE AUSTIN SCHOOL OF FURNITURE FOUNDATION (ASF) IS A WOODWORKING AND FURNITURE MAKING SCHOOL WITH WOODWORKING CLASSES DESIGNED TO SUPPORT DEDICATED HOBBYISTS, ASPIRING PROFESSIONAL FURNITURE MAKERS, AND THE LARGER ARTS COMMUNITY. THESE CLASSES TEACH THE CRAFT OF FURNITURE MAKING THROUGH FUNDAMENTAL WOODWORKING SKILL CLASSES, SMALL AND LARGE PROJECTS, DESIGN THEORY, JOINERY TECHNIQUES, AND CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY. ALL WOODWORKING CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY WOODWORKERS, FURNITURE MAKERS AND DESIGNERS WITH DECADES OF EXPERIENCE.
