990-EZ for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • OPEN STUDIOS. This year was the 11th annual Open Studios Tour. Open Studios Tour is a free self-guided tour where 49 artists opened their studios to the public and share how, why, and where their art is created. Bringing arts education and cultural enrichment to Clark County neighborhoods, Open Studios is a unique opportunity to visit local artists in their workspaces, get inspired, and shop locally. 2,000 people attended this event. In addition, in fiscal year 24-25, three young emerging artists supported by the Christine Rice Memorial fund were mentored by established artists, providing insights and experience in navigating a life in art.
    Expenses $13,812
  • POETRY MOVES. Poetry Moves is a program of Artstra in collaboration with C-Tran (Clark County Transit) , providing poetry on bus channel cards in all C-Tran buses. Once a year new poems are submitted by local and regional poets or student poets, from which ten are selected for the program by a professional poet and installed on public buses. All buses in the C-Tran fleet display two different poem cards. Over 5 million bus trips annually bring literary public art to riders, offering moments of beauty and reflection. Poetry Moves also presents "Celebration of Poetry" annually. The Poetry Moves poets read their selected poems to an audience (averaging 100-150 in attendance) in a theatrical setting, cementing a community experience of the spoken word.
    Expenses $4,545
  • CREATIVE RELIEF CLARK COUNTY is a program of Artstra, providing arts supplies, project ideas, and instruction to communities with limited access to the tools of creativity. Creative Relief gives people the rewarding and healing experience of creating with their own hands. Whether drawing, painting or writing, this program offers a bit of relief for both adults and children from the stress and difficulty they may be experiencing. The program events, often in unison with other organizations and partners (private and civic), encourage a positive interaction with others while providing a creative outlet from daily challenges. Art supplies are often unavailable to those in need, Creative Relief offers opportunities might not otherwise be available. FY 24-25 saw three different events serving about 1,115 youths, adults and seniors with partners including The City of Vancouver, WA and the Ashby Family Center.
    Expenses $830
  • All other general program related program services including Arts Brief which is an occasional (mostly monthly) curated online news letter designed to intrigue while sharing information, events, happenings and current news related to the arts in SW Washington. Current circulation 3,000, monthly open rate averages over 56%.
    Expenses $9,706
