Mission
OUR MISSION IS TO ATTAIN THE AUTHORIZATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE ON THE NATIONAL MALL IN WASHINGTON, DC. WE WILL COORDINATE AND MOBILIZE OUR NETWORK OF ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN ORGANIZATIONS AND CONSTITUENTS TO GENERAL PUBLIC AWARENESS, EXECUTE INITIATIVES TO ENSURE BROAD SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENT TARGETED ENGAGEMENT REQUIRED TO ATTAIN AUTHORIZATION OF THE MUSEUM.
Program accomplishments
- FRIENDS DESIGNS, ADMINISTERS AND EXECUTES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS NECESSARY TO ATTAIN CONGRESSIONAL AUTHORIZATION AND CREATE A FORWARD-LOOKING DYNAMIC MUSEUM. OUR MAIN PROGRAMS ARE: - COMMUNICATION AND AWARENESS - WE ARE DRIVING AWARENESS AND GROWING COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR THE EFFORTS OF ESTABLISHING THIS MUSEUM.- TASK FORCE COMMUNITY OUTREACH - WE HAVE FORMED A TASK FORCE TO GATHER KEY APA ORGANIZATIONS, HISTORIANS, ACADEMICS, LOCAL MUSEUM AND OTHER RELATED INSTITUTIONS THAT FOCUS ON THE HISTORY AND CULTURE OF EACH APA RACIAL AND ETHNIC COMMUNITIES.- TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN INNOVATION AND MUSEUM EXPERIENCE - WE ARE EXPLORING THE USE OF INNOVATIVE AND IMMERSIVE A/R, X/R AND AI TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS FOR EXHIBITING DESIGN AND USAGE AS A TECHNOLOGY HUB.Expenses $179,900
