Mission
Building resilience and better mental health in adolescents and their surrounding communities through education, awareness, and sponsoring research for the diagnosis and treatment modalities of adolescent mental health.A world where children understand the importance of mental well being as much as physical well being, where they feel confident in accepting whoever they are and they thrive in a stigma-free society about mental illness and/or their sexual/gender identity. We hope for objective treatment options for adolescent mental health through research and clinical trials.
Program accomplishments
- At the same time, volunteer opportunities have always been an important part of our mission, and in early 2025, we merged with VolunteerMatch, the largest online platform for volunteering. - Livingston student Shiv Kulkarni, 14, was a pianist, artist, and champion table tennis player. Sadly, he passed away in July 2021. But an organization named for him will hold a youth mental health fair in Livingston this Sunday.On Sunday November 5th Shiv's Third Eye held their 2023 Youth Mental Wellness Fair that included 40+ exhibitors relaying the important trends in youth mental health & wellness. Free Resources, panels, and food was provided.
- We are now building on all this work to invite people everywhere to imagine a different world, and to help build it one day and one community at a time. Our multinational team supports our community in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and never stops thinking about how to do this better. Idealist is a 501(c)(3) organization based in New York.
