Mission

To provide early childhood education through Spanish immersion and cultural learning that supports bilingual development and school readiness for children and families.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Our preschool programs create the largest expense. We provide a multi-sensory learning experience while immersed in a Spanish-language environment. With the leadership of our teaching staff, we foster confident, creative, and compassionate learners through culturally infused, play-based, hands-on activities. Our preschool-age programs are full immersion, with little to no English spoken, however, children do NOT need to have any prior knowledge of the Spanish language to participate. In 2025 our preschool expenses included rent, utilities, payroll for 5 staff members, and supplies for the classrooms. We had 20 students enrolled, twelve of which were paying a significantly reduced rate or attending for free.
    Expenses $81,232
  • In 2025 we acquired a grant to launch our outdoor learning space and community closet addition. The purpose of this project was to establish a dual-use outdoor space with a metal storage shed adjacent deck/patio to serve both as our community closet and an extension outdoor classroom for our students. The outdoor area is equipped with age-appropriate furniture donated by members of our community and serves as a flexible learning space where students can focus on their academic work such as literacy, language development and engage in age-appropriate planning goals. Additionally, the metal storage shed has allowed us to expand the organization and storage of donations for our community closet, which provides essential items like baby clothing, toiletries, diapers, and wipes to families in need. By expanding the community closet with a dedicated storage space, we were able to serve over 500 families, increasing our ability to store and distribute donations more efficiently. Additionally, we added a community garden to our outdoor classroom, which was utilized by our preschool program during the spring and summer months. We also donated the use of our community garden to another local nonprofit to host their Garden School program during the months of April through June. The Garden School program was attended by 20 young children and facilitated by 4 adult volunteers.
    Expenses $2,500 · grants $2,500
  • In 2025 our staff and directors participated in several professional development and leadership development opportunities. This included our monthly subscription to on-demand teacher-training videos specifically for teachers of young children, attendance at a few conferences/events geared toward supporting small business development or development in other programs at Angelitos. We also were members of the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce. Our investment in professional development directly impacted our staff of 5 as well as our 2 directors and 4 board members at the time.
    Expenses $9,679
