Mission

THE NORTH CAROLINA WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS HALL OF FAME HONORS NORTH CAROLINA'S MOST SUCCESSFUL FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS AND ADVOCATES WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT AND ENDURING CONTRIBUTIONS TO IMPACT WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT IN NORTH CAROLINA.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • DURING THE 2025 TAX YEAR, THE NC WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS HALL OF FAME ACHIEVED HISTORIC MILESTONES IN EXECUTING ITS CORE EXEMPT MISSION: CELEBRATING, CONNECTING, AND EMPOWERING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA. OPERATING FROM A POSITION OF UNPRECEDENTED FINANCIAL STABILITY- HAVING CONCLUDED THE FISCAL PERIOD WITH OVER 20,000 IN CASH RESERVES-THE ORGANIZATION SUCCESSFULLY SCALED ITS PROGRAMMATIC FOOTPRINT, STRATEGIC COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS, AND PUBLIC OUTREACH INFRASTRUCTURE. THE PRIMARY PROGRAMMATIC ACHIEVEMENT OF THE FISCAL YEAR WAS THE ANNUAL INDUCTION GALA HOSTED AT THE UMSTEAD. THIS PREMIER EVENT BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 200 BUSINESS LEADERS, COMMUNITY ADVOCATES, AND STAKEHOLDERS TO HONOR THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF EXCEPTIONAL WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS TO THE STATE'S ECONOMY. THE GALA SERVED AS A VITAL PLATFORM FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP RECOGNITION, AND ECOSYSTEM-BUILDING. TO EXTEND THE GEOGRAPHIC AND DEMOGRAPHIC REACH OF ITS EXEMPT PURPOSE BEYOND THE ANNUAL GALA, THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED MAJOR OPERATIONAL COLLABORATIONS WITH PROMINENT CORPORATE, LEGAL, AND COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS. STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS WERE FORGED AND EXECUTED WITH BANK OF AMERICA, THE WOMEN'S BUSINESS CENTER (WBCNC), THE CARY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, AND LILES LAW. THESE COLLABORATIONS RESULTED IN A SERIES OF REGIONAL, SMALL-SCALE SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, AND NETWORKING EVENTS ACROSS THE STATE, DRASTICALLY INCREASING THE ACCESSIBILITY OF RESOURCES FOR WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS IN VARIOUS MUNICIPAL SECTORS. FURTHERMORE, THE ORGANIZATION DEEPENED ITS PROGRAMMATIC INTEGRATION WITH VITAL REGIONAL CHAPTERS, INCLUDING NAWBO CHARLOTTE AND NAWBO GREATER RALEIGH, ESTABLISHING A ROBUST, UNIFIED NETWORK FOR EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP. THROUGH HEIGHTENED PUBLIC TRUST AND EXPANDED OUTREACH STRATEGIES, THE ORGANIZATION ACHIEVED A RECORD-BREAKING FUNDRAISING MILESTONE IN 2025, RAISING OVER 50,000 IN GROSS CONTRIBUTIONS. THESE FUNDS DIRECTLY ENABLED THE DEPLOYMENT OF NEW PUBLIC-BENEFIT PLATFORMS AND ENSURED THE LONG-TERM SUSTAINABILITY OF PROGRAMMATIC OPERATIONS.
    Expenses $41,626 · revenue $26,598
  • IN THE MONTHS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE GALA, THE ORGANIZATION'S MARKETING AND TECHNOLOGY TEAMS LAUNCHED THREE HIGH-IMPACT INITIATIVES SPECIFICALLY STRUCTURED TO PROVIDE DIRECT, MEASURABLE UTILITY TO THE PUBLIC AND THE ENTREPRENEURIAL COMMUNITY: 1.ONLINE DIRECTORY OF WOMEN BUSINESS OWNERS: DEVELOPED AND DEPLOYED A PUBLIC-FACING DIGITAL DEPOSITORY DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE MARKET VISIBILITY AND COMMERCIAL VIABILITY OF WOMEN-LED ENTERPRISES. BY THE CONCLUSION OF THE REPORTING CYCLE, THE DIRECTORY FEATURED NEARLY 100 VERIFIED NORTH CAROLINA WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES, FACILITATING BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS (B2B) PROCUREMENT AND CONSUMER ENGAGEMENT. 2.THE GIFT FORWARD COLLECTIVE: INTRODUCED AN INNOVATIVE COMMUNITY DISCOUNT AND MUTUAL-BENEFIT PROGRAM ENGINEERED TO STIMULATE COMMERCIAL INTERACTION AMONG CONSTITUENT MEMBERS, LOWER OPERATIONAL OVERHEAD FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, AND INCENTIVIZE LOCAL CONSUMER SPENDING. 3.PEER-TO-PEER FUNDRAISING VIA GIVEBUTTER: MODERNIZED THE ORGANIZATION'S GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE, MOBILIZING COMMUNITY ADVOCATES TO EXPAND EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS AND CULTIVATE SUSTAINABLE PUBLIC FUNDING MODELS.
  • THE ORGANIZATION LEVERAGED DIGITAL MEDIA TO ADVANCE ITS EDUCATIONAL MANDATES, DISSEMINATE INFORMATION ON SMALL BUSINESS COMPLIANCE AND OPPORTUNITIES, AND PROMOTE PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT. DIGITAL PROGRAMS YIELDED SUBSTANTIAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT METRICS, VALIDATING THE BROAD SOCIETAL IMPACT OF THE ORGANIZATION'S ACTIVITIES: -TOTAL DIGITAL IMPRESSIONS (FB, IG, LINKEDIN REACH): 21,755 IMPRESSIONS -TOTAL DOCUMENTED EMAIL INFORMATIONAL TOUCHPOINTS: 14,142 DELIVERIES -UNIQUE DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT ACTIONS (CLICKS TO NOMINATIONS, TICKETS, SPONSORS): 456 ACTIONS -TOTAL SOCIAL MEDIA PUBLIC INTERACTIONS (LIKES, COMMENTS, SHARES): 1,134 INTERACTIONS -NEWSLETTER READERSHIP BASE / CUMULATIVE ARTICLE IMPLEMENTATIONS: 436 SUBSCRIBERS / 498 VIEWS -LINKEDIN CORPORATE NETWORKING GROWTH: +230 FOLLOWERS (6-MONTH PERIOD) -LINKEDIN PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT RATE: 5.7% ENGAGEMENT RATE (VS. A ~2.0% INDUSTRY BENCHMARK) OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND DATABASE OPTIMIZATION: CONCURRENTLY, THE ORGANIZATION UNDERTOOK A RIGOROUS DATA-CLEANING AND DATABASE-OPTIMIZATION INITIATIVE PRIOR TO THE 2025 CAMPAIGN CYCLE. BY ELIMINATING INACTIVE AND OUT-OF-DATE RECORDS, THE OUTREACH DISTRIBUTION LIST WAS REDUCED BY APPROXIMATELY 250 RECIPIENTS (A 33% REDUCTION IN DATABASE SIZE). THIS ADMINISTRATIVE OPTIMIZATION RESULTED IN A DRAMATIC INCREASE IN COMMUNICATION EFFICIENCY AND RECIPIENT RESPONSIVENESS. IN ADMINISTRATIVE TERMS, THE ORGANIZATION SECURED OVER DOUBLE (2.06) THE ABSOLUTE PUBLIC RESPONSE VOLUME WHILE REDUCING TOTAL ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION COSTS AND RESOURCES BY EXACTLY ONE-THIRD. THIS DEMONSTRATES EXCEPTIONAL STEWARDSHIP OF DONOR-SUPPORTED RESOURCES AND HIGHLY OPTIMIZED FINANCIAL/ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT.
