OPERATIONAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS FALL INTO 5 PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS:SUPPORT FOR CHILD-RELATED ACTIVITIES/PROGRAMSA. ACTIVE YOUTH - SUPPORT FOR CHILD-RELATED ACTIVITIES/PROGRAMSB. BASIC NEEDS - FOOD SECURITYC. EDUCATION & LITERACYD. HEALTH, WELLNESS & SAFETYE. STRONG COMMUNITIESCOPPER CITIES YOUTH SPORTS (CCYS), SOUTHERN GILA COUNTY 4-H LEADERS COUNCIL, MONSOON YOUTH'S COLLECTIVELY SERVED 15,320 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. ACTIVE YOUTH IS A PRIORITY IN GLOBE-MIAMI TO REDUCE "AT RISK" ACTIVITIES AND ENGAGE YOUTH IN HEALTHY EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. PINAL-GILA COUNCIL FOR SENIOR CITIZENS, DOING BUSINESS AS CENTRAL ARIZONA AGING, HIGH DESERT HUMANE SOCIETY, GILA HOUSE INC, ARIZONA RESERVATION MINISTRIES, AZYP COLLECTIVELY SERVED 7,576 COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN HEALTH, WELLNESS, AND SAFETY.THE MIAMI ARTS COMMISSION, GLOBE MIAMI COMMUNITY CONCERT ASSOCIATION, MIAMI GENESIS, COBRE VALLEY CENTER FOR THE ARTS, GILA COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM, BULLION PLAZA CULTURAL CENTER & MUSEUM COLLECTIVELY SERVED 18,462 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. FRIENDS OF MIAMI MEMORIAL LIBRARY, FRIENDS OF THE GLOBE PUBLIC LIBRARY, PINAL MOUNTAIN FOUNDATION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION COLLECTIVELY SERVED 60,502 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. SALVATION ARMY GLOBE SERVICE CENTER, THE GILA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK, ST. VINCENT'S OF HOLY ANGELS SECURITY IS A NEEDED AREA OF ONGOING INVESTMENT.
