STRENGTHENING THE LOS ALAMOS AND WHITE ROCK BUSINESS COMMUNITY. THE LOS ALAMOS COMMERCE & DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (LACDC), AS AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION, STRIVES TO EMPOWER A BUSINESS COMMUNITY THAT IS COLLABORATIVE, RESILIENT, DIVERSE, FINANCIALLY HEALTHY, AND ECONOMICALLY ATTRACTIVE.
Program accomplishments
- MAINTAINED A STRONG CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, WITH JUST UNDER 300 ACTIVE MEMBERS. HOSTED 4 CHAMBER BUSINESS AFTER HOURS, 11 BUSINESS BREAKFAST EVENTS AND SUCCESSFULLY REINTRODUCED COFFEE & CONNECTIONS, WHICH IS A WEEKLY NETWORKING EVENT FOR MEMBERS. HIRED A NEW ASSISTANT DIRECTOR TO BETTER SERVICE THE NEEDS OF THE CHAMBER, AS WELL AS A NEW CHAMBER MEMBER APP. HOSTED THE CHAMBER BUSINESS AWARDS 2025 ON JUNE 6, 2025, FOLLOWED BY A CHAMBERFEST STREET FAIR ANNUAL DOWNTOWN STREET FAIR ON JUNE 7, 2025, A SPRING CAREER FAIR JOB FAIR HELD ON APRIL 10, 2025 AND A FALL 2025 CAREER FAIR A FALL VERSION OF THE CAREER/JOB FAIR. IN 2026 THE CHAMBER WILL START TO OFFER ONE-ON-ONE MARKETING CONSULATATIONS AND IS LAUNCHING A NEW WOMEN'S BUSINESS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AND HOME-BASED BUSINESS EXPO IN SEPTEMBER 2026. THE LOS ALAMOS MAINSTREET AND CREATIVE DISTRICT MAINTAINED ITS ACCREDITATION THROUGH NEW MEXICO MAINSTREET.
