Mission
Assist wounded warriors with military medical separation.
Program accomplishments
- During 2025, Arc of Justice dedicated 10% of its operational resources to Operation Sentinel, providing advocacy services for active-duty wounded warriors within the U.S. Armed Forces. The program specifically assists service members enrolled in-or entering-the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES). Key accomplishments include: Facilitating direct advocacy between service members and military command structures; Navigating complex administrative hurdles within the Defense Health Agency (DHA); Securing administrative relief through formal Congressional Requests for Assistance; and Connecting service members with resources that provide technical education on IDES protocols to ensure they secure optimal outcomes prior to their transition to veteran and civilian status.Expenses $9,604
- In order to maintain fiscal sustainability while meeting high service demand, Arc of Justice continues to utilize strategic partnerships with other veteran/military service organizations. This collaborative model allows the organization to focus its internal expertise on IDES-specific cases while ensuring that all inquiries receive appropriate attention (7% of time). We will never turn away a wounded warrior requesting help, so even if we cannot assist them through our organization specifically, we make every effort to connect each service member with an organization that is better equipped to meet their needs.Expenses $6,723
- Arc of Justice continued its mission to educate the public on the unique challenges facing the Warfighter community through targeted presentations and media engagements (3% of time). Historical and recent media resources continue to serve as a vital educational tool for the general public, reaching a cumulative audience of over 125,000 individuals.Expenses $2,881
- A more recent initiative, Operation Friendly Fire, which has taken up the bulk of our efforts (62% of time spent), was established to increase public awareness of systemic military issues. This program is currently focused on the production of a documentary film that chronicles the organization's mission and highlights the lived experiences of the service members served. The documentary is currently 45 minutes in length and has gone through multiple stages of editing. We are seeking additional interviews at this time, in order to round out the film with experts and leaders in specific areas.Expenses $59,543
- In conjunction with its educational efforts, the tertiary program Operation Washington's Immortals (15% of time spent) successfully advocated for the introduction of bipartisan legislation: the Wounded Warrior Bill of Rights. While the provisions were not included in the final National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the current cycle, the organization continues to engage with key staffers in the House of Representatives and the Senate to secure its inclusion in future legislative sessions.Expenses $14,405
- The organization maintained its commitment to specialized Appellate representation (3% of time) for a Reserve service member facing persistent systemic obstacles. This service ensures that individual rights are protected throughout extended legal and administrative challenges.Expenses $2,881
