Mission

THE ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED TO FURTHER THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE FIELD OF UPHOLSTERY THROUGH CONTINUING EDUCATION, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, AND BUSINESS RESOURCES.

  • THE ASSOCIATION'S WEBSITE WILL PROVIDE TO MEMBERS: A DATABASE OF UPHOLSTERY EDUCATORS AND VENDORS; THE ABILITY TO ADVERTISE FOR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES; A LISTING IN BOTH THE PUBLIC DIRECTORY AND MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY WITH LINKS TO THE MEMBERS WEBSITE OR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT IF DESIRED. THE ASSOCIATION'S WEBSITE WILL PROVIDE THE PUBLIC WITH GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF THE UPHOLSTERY TRADE BY OFFERING: ACCESS TO A MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY, (SEARCHABLE BY CITY, STATE OR TYPE OF UPHOLSTERY), TOPICAL ARTICLES ABOUT THE UPHOLSTERY INDUSTRY (SUCH AS WHEN TO UPHOLSTER, HOW TO FIND QUALITY FURNITURE, AND OTHER TOPICS APPLICABLE TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION OF THE UPHOLSTERY INDUSTRY). THIS WEBSITE WENT LIVE IN 2019 AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE IN USE, WHILE THE ASSOCIATION IS ACTIVE. VOLUNTEER MEMBERS ARE AND WILL HELP WITH MAINTAINING THE WEBSITE, POSTING INFORMATION PROVIDED BY COMMITTEES AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
  • THE ASSOCIATION WILL HOST MONTHLY WEBINARS AVAILABLE TO MEMBERSHIP. THESE WEBINARS ARE APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR IN LENGTH AND COVER TOPICS SUCH AS: UPHOLSTERY SKILL TUTORIALS, EMAIL MARKETING, SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING, UPHOLSTERY TOOLS AND GADGETS, BOOKKEEPING FOR UPHOLSTERY, BUSINESS TOPICS SPECIFIC TO UPHOLSTERY, BUSINESS SUCCESSION PLANNING, AND MORE. THE PRESENTERS OF THESE WEBINARS MAY BE UPHOLSTERY PROFESSIONALS, RELATED INDUSTRY PERSONNEL, OR PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS, AND MAY OR MAY NOT BE COMPENSATED FOR THEIR SERVICES.
  • THE ASSOCIATION WILL HOST UPHOLSTERY INDUSTRY EVENTS, SOME INDEPENDENT AND SOME IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER SOFT FURNISHINGS ORGANIZATIONS, WITH CONFERENCES AND/OR SYMPOSIUMS.
