EXPLORER PROGRAMS - LOCAL AND NATIONWIDE PROVIDE FUNDING, TRAINING, EQUIPMENT AND EDUCATION FOR THE PORT HUENEME POLICE EXPLORERS PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM HELPS YOUTH MEMBERS UNDERSTAND CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND DEVOTION TO THE "PROCESS." AFFILIATED WITH THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, THE EXPLORERS ENJOY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, PHYSICAL FITNESS AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP/PATRIOTISM AS A RESULT OF PROGRAM PARTICIPATION.
