Mission
TO UNITE IN STRONG COMMUNITY THOSE STUDENTS WHO WISH TO PROMOTE THE SOCIAL, ACADEMIC, CULTURAL, AND PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF THE MEMBERS; TO BUILD A CLOSE, SECURE UNITY OF ACTION AND COOPERATION IN MATTERS OF MUTUAL INTEREST; TO MAINTAIN A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND ADMINISTRATION; AND TO MAKE THE ASSOCIATION A VITAL FACTOR IN COLLEGE ACTIVITIES.
Program accomplishments
- THE ASSOCIATION SERVES ABOUT 1,500 ESF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS. THERE ARE ABOUT 45 CLUBS SERVING THE VARIED INTERESTS OF THE STUDENTS. THE ASSOCIATION HOLDS ABOUT 10 LARGER EVENTS OPEN TO THE STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF AND ALUMNI. INCLUDED IS A MULTI-DAY EARTH WEEK EVENT THAT INCLUDES SPEAKERS, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE; 2 SENIOR AWARDS BANQUETS EACH HAVING ATTENDANCE OF ABOUT 250 STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF ENCOURAGING AND REWARDING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT; CULTURAL EVENTS RAISING AWARENESS THROUGHOUT THE ACADEMIC YEAR; STUDENTS VOLUNTEERING IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND IN OTHER AREAS TO HELP REBUILD AND EDUCATE AFTER NATURAL DISASTERS; PROVIDING YEARBOOKS, HANDBOOKS, AND REUSABLE PRODUCTS. IN ADDITION, EACH CLUB OFFERS EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE AREAS OF INTEREST.Expenses $252,322 · revenue $388,106
