Mission

To develop and preserve housing in Kootenai County that our low-income neighbors and our local workers can afford. We want to provide not just a place to live, but a place to build a future, for all residents living in our county.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • HUD Programs - The organization uses federal funds through the Housing Trust Fund Progam (HTF), Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), and HOME Investment Partnership Program to provide housing for low income households. Funds from these programs allow for construction and/or purchase and rehabilitation of properties for resale and/or rent to households meeting various eligibility criteria.
    Expenses $264,301 · revenue $286,779
  • Miracle on Britton - The Miracle on Britton is a development consisting of 28 Fee Simple Shared Equity homes developed in collaboration with the private market and city/county governments. The homes are deed restricted to designate each home for a certain income, require that the home be owner occupied, and a resale formula allows wealth creation but protects the home from pricing to the market. Upon completion, this project will provide 28 families with beautiful homes the call their own and proivde a blueprint for restoring homeownership opportunities for local workers living in Kootenai County.
