Mission
IN AZ, AS A MIGRANT LGBT COMMUNITY WE FACE RACISM, TRANSPHOBIA, HOMOPHOBIA OTHER TYPES OF DISCRIMINATION. IN THIS HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT WE ARE A REFUGE FOR LGBT MIGRANTS OF COLOR THROUGH COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS TO SOLVE OUR BASIC NEEDS, WE CULTIVATE LEADERSHIP OF LGBT PEOPLE MIGRANTS OF COLOR TO TRANSFORM OUR NEEDS INTO COMMUNITY POWER.
Program accomplishments
- 532 VOTING MEMBERS. 35 LGBTQ PEOPLE SUPPORTED IN IMMIGRATION DETENTION, 18 RELEASED WITH TQPUEBLO SUPPORT. PROVIDED COMMUNITY ACCOMPANIMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE LEGAL CASES OF 54 LGBTQ MIGRANTS. PROVIDED MEDICAL CARE FOR 200 PATIENTS AT OUR COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC. SUPPORTED 53 INDIVIDUALS AND HOUSEHOLDS WITH EMERGENCY FUNDS. DEVELOPED A 6-MONTH LONG LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COURSE WITH 15 PARTICIPANTS. 3 COMMUNITY THEATER PRODUCTIONS OF ORIGINAL WORK BY COMMUNITY MEMBERS. GAVE 100 COMMUNITY EDUCATION WORKSHOPS WITH 1000 PARTICIPANTS.Expenses $768,092 · grants $81,333
