Mission

Greater Portland Family Promise helps homeless and low-income families in the Greater Portland area achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Through its Homelessness Prevention and Housing Stabilization program, in 2025 Greater Portland Family Promiseserved 75 families who were experiencing homelessness, at risk of losing their housing, or facing eviction. GPFP provided these families with services including case management, housing navigation, financial assistance, monthly food distribution, and other support to meet basic needs. Several of those families received those services at our or partner transitional housing sites before moving into more permanent housing. In 2025, the organization took ownership of one of our transitional housing sites and began planning for adding more housing units.
