Program accomplishments

  • In 2017, the City of Orange Police Association COPA Officer Down and Scholarship Fund was used to support families of injured officers and families of officers who were tragically killed in the line of duty. We were able to give financial support to one of our officers after He was struck by a DUI driver and received career ending injuries. We were also able to send financial support to the families of two officers when the officers were killed in the line of duty. We were happy to award college scholarship funds to the daughter of a COPA member. We feel the officer down and scholarship fund is critical to helping the families of officers who have fallen and to encourage and support those who want to further their education.
