Mission
Eremos, a center of contemplative life, helps people of all walks of life and any (or no) faith tradition step back from daily distractions to behold the mystery of the Divine in the spaciousness of silence. From the intimacy of this communion, people can experience a sense of peace and oneness that empowers them to live and love more fully. We support this invitation to step back via workshops, spiritual direction, retreats, on-going contemplative groups, conversations with spiritual leaders around the country, and book studies all for a reasonable fee. Scholarships are always available for anyone in need.We had 1230 touchpoints or opportunities for engagement with our community in 2025 (an increase of 4.9% versus 2024), whether through an intimate in-person workshop of 8-10 or via a popular Zoom event with over 50 people.
Program accomplishments
- Our 2025 Programming Theme There is More in this Life sought to remind people of the positive possibilities that await us when we stretch ourselves beyond old habits and our comfort zone. Our most popular event in 2025 was an evening on Zoom with spiritual leader, Jan Richardson, in November. Known for her blessings and her programs about the season of Advent, our conversation with her struck a chord with people around the country and attracted over 130 registrants. All together in-person or Zoom events and workshops touched 381 people. And our popular, free Summer Interlude Series generated 179 touchpoints.On-Going Groups grew this year from five to six with the addition of a weekly group, Youre Not the Only One, in support of those grappling with the rapid changes and negative news in the world. From meeting weekly to every other month, all on-going groups support the creation of an intimate community within the larger Eremos community. Contemplative Mens Group, Benedicts Way, Contemplative Mornings, A Quiet Pause, Monthly Meet-Up (at a local caf), and Youre Not the Only One had a combined 466 touchpoints over the year. The Book Reflection Series (offered three times per year) are another way to get to know each other better as we explore books in depth over 4 weeks. Combined, the three Book Reflections supported 73 people, most via Zoom. For a deeper experience, we offered two one-day retreats to 21 individuals. Finally, our Saturday Brunch-Gala in 2024 was such a success with our community, we returned there in November 2025 to more rave reviews. with total attendance for this and a Giving Circle gathering at 69.Expenses $31,519
