ADVOCATES FOR SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION, INC OPERATES AN OPEN-ADMISSION CHARTER SCHOOL THAT PREPARES UNDER-SERVED NEW ORLEANS STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE AND CAREER SUCCESS THROUGH A RIGOROUS SCHOOL CULTURE THAT EMPHASIZES ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION.
Program accomplishments
- ADVOCATES FOR SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION, INC HAS BECOME A CHARTER SCHOOL THAT WORKS WITHIN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA SYSTEM AND THE NEW ORLEANS PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES A RIGOROUS HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM WITH AN EMPHASIS IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS IN ASUPPORTING ENVIRONMENT OF LEARNING THAT PREPARES SUDENTS TO MAKE INFORMED CHOICES ABOUT POST-SECONDARY PURSUITS. APPROXIMATELY 625 STUDENTS WERE SERVED DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR.Expenses $9,612,573
