Mission
The Sonoma County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program serves abused and neglected children coming before the Juvenile Court of Protection and Rehabilitation Services.
Program accomplishments
- CASA of Sonoma County connects children and youth within the foster care and juvenile justice systems with dedicated and highly trained volunteers known as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). These advocates are appointed by the Juvenile Court to champion the best interests of these young individuals, ensuring they have access to essential services and addressing their needs in education, placement, and mental and physical health. The program offers continuous supervision to approximately 185 volunteers each year, enabling them to provide advocacy, support, and mentorship to up to 325 young people, fostering their healthy development and facilitating a successful transition into adulthood.Expenses $679,013
