Program accomplishments
- All events we have are paid by money from sponsors, member dues and income from classes we offer. The chapter is highly focused on providing education relative to commercial real estate (CRE) that is not being offered locally. In 2025 the chapter offered 4 luncheons, some networking events and 5 classes. The chapter submits information to the CCIM Institute to show what they have done each year. We won a reward for our 2025 events and membership growth in the group of our sized chapter. This is a real honor to get one of the awards.Expenses $22,603
- Charity donation and scholarship. We had a pickle ball afternoon event that was primarily a way to get our members together in a fun atmosphere that could help them network with members they may not know well, our sponsors and guests who join us. We had the ability to break even on the event after donating $3000 to a local charity that helps young children improve their reading abilities. We also had enough to offer two $500 scholarships (grants) for members to use for one of our classes.grants $1,000
- Education opportunities. Every year we attempt to offer multiple classes for our members and others in the business who need some education. This year we offered 5 classes created by the CCIM Institute to specifically teach CRE. Two were four-day classes (Financial Analysis for CRE and Market Analysis for CRE) that are core courses in the program that ultimately increases CRE knowledge and completes some of the requirements for a person to obtain the CCIM pin. We also had a two-day class, Foundations for CRE, for those just getting started in CRE and preparing them for the core courses in the CCIM Institute program to develop new CCIMs. We offered a one-day Negotiations in CRE and a three-hour Introduction to CRE. These classes all offered CE credits for their state licensing requirements
- Luncheon events. Our luncheons provide a place for networking with other professionals and hearing from speakers about the current economy and how it affects CRE and information about new developments in the Mid-South area. Our luncheons typically had 35-40 attendees out of our 125 members. In addition to the luncheons we also had an event to allow members to introduce one listing to the group.
