THE FEDERATION SERVES AS A CENTRAL FUNDRAISING AND ALLOCATION AGENCY IN THE MEMPHIS METROPOLITAN AREA FOR THE BENEFIT OF JEWISH ACTIVITIES AND PROMOTES HARMONY, UNDERSTANDING AND GOOD RELATIONS AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY AND THE LARGER COMMUNITIES.
