Mission
The corporation was formed to enhance the common interests and conditions of physicians who practice pain management. The corporation is dedicated to promoting the development of and practice of safe high-quality cost-effective interventional pain medicine techniques to diagnose and treat pain related disorders and to ensure patient access to these.
Program accomplishments
- The organization held its annual three-day meeting in New Orleans LA. Many members were in attendance with speakers encouraging advancement in the practice of interventional pain medicine. The organization has over 4,000 members. Sessions and lectures offered by distinguished speakers included Unveiling the Role of Artificial Intelligence AI in Interventional Pain Management - Beyond Confusion Physician AI Avatars in Interventional Pain Management Unveiling Interventional Pain Management as a Specialty: Minimally Invasive Spine Techniques are Integral to IPM Unveiling the Future of IPM in 2035 in Relation to Einsteins Bioelectric Revolution Unveiling the Evidence and Clinical Utility of Percutaneous Epidural Adhesiolysis Perspective on the Preservation of Your Practice and IPM What ASIPP Achieved through Grass Root Involvement and How ASIPP Advanced Policy Through Advocacy. Breakout sessions each day were also available with sessions on regenerative medicine spinal imaging - radiology controlled substance management practice management and improvement anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy and analgesics in the post opioid era.0
- Review courses in controlled substance management and documentation compliance and practice management were offered virtually during the year. These courses were held as a CME activity to prepare for competency certification. These courses were intended to present interventional pain management specialists nurses and other healthcare providers an in-depth review of multiple areas of interventional pain management.0
