Mission

THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF HOMELESS MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN BY PROVIDING CRUCIAL SERVICES TO END THEIR CRISIS OF HOMELESSNESS.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Shelter Services - The Coalition operates two shelter programs: the Center for Women and Families (CWF) and the Men's Service Center (MSC), with a combined capacity of 490 beds serving single women, families, and single men. These programs represent the largest provider of short-term residential shelter in Central Florida. The Coalition provides emergency shelter, diversion, case management, and housing stabilization services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Individuals first meet with staff at the Coalition's Intake Center to complete a comprehensive assessment, which is used to determine program placement and identify appropriate services. All individuals then receive individualized housing plans focused on securing stable housing and addressing immediate needs. In Fiscal Year 2024-2025, the Coalition served 1,773 individuals in shelter, including 353 children, and provided 137,419 nights of shelter. During this period, 620 individuals exited permanent housing, and 52% of adults increased or maintained income at exit.
    Expenses $5,666,037 · revenue $260,508
  • Housing Services - The Coalition operates four Rapid Rehousing programs designed to help households quickly exit homelessness and secure permanent housing. These programs also prevent at-risk individuals and families from entering the system through targeted, short-term rental assistance. These programs combine time-limited financial help with housing stabilization services, including case management, landlord engagement, and connections to community resources. In Fiscal Year 2024-2025, the Coalition's housing services served 224 households, representing 502 individuals, including 236 children. Funding for these programs is provided through federal, state, and county sources, allowing the Coalition to respond flexibly to community needs and move households from crisis to stability.
    Expenses $2,555,132
  • Emergency Services - In Fiscal Year 2024-2025, the Coalition operated the following programs, serving a total of 4,145 guests with 2,203 exits to permanent housing across our robust continuum of services: - Community Outreach - Conducts street and community-based outreach to identify and engage individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, providing connections to shelter, housing, and supportive services. - Diversion Program - Provides crisis intervention and problem-solving assistance to help individuals and families avoid entering shelter by identifying safe alternative housing options. Served 1,546 individuals, including 782 children. - City of Orlando Police Department Drop-Off Program - Provides after-hours emergency shelter placement for individuals and families identified by law enforcement as residing in unsafe or unsheltered conditions. - Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program - Provides advocacy, case management, and supportive services to individuals impacted by crime, including domestic violence. - Youth Program - Provides educational support, enrichment activities, and counseling services for school-age children residing in shelter. - Early Childhood Development Program - Operates a licensed childcare center serving children ages six weeks to five years, supporting early learning and school readiness. - Veterans Services - Provides case management, transportation, and employment support to veterans experiencing homelessness. - Adverse Weather Program - Provides emergency shelter and services during periods of extreme weather conditions. - Nightly Community Dinner - Provides evening meals to individuals and families in need who are not residing in shelter.
    Expenses $1,430,535
